what will happen if you dont treat a bladder infectionInfections?
a bladder infection needs to be treated or it can spread and harm your kidneys and bladder. Most UTI's never make it to the bladder though and go away on their own if you properly hydrate your body... but why deal with the pain and risk? see your doc for some antibiotics. :) good luck hun!

Y would you want to find out? Just treat it. Loads of cranberry juice and water can usually do the trick.
more times than not you'll need treatment eventually... besides it could spread to the kidneys in certain types of infections
you will get very sick and land up in the hospital
if you dont treat it.. you could get a urinary track infection or maybe worse.. drink alot of water and cranberry juice.
The bacteria can travel up the ureters (the tubes that carry urine from the kidneys to the bladder), and if it reaches the kidney, then you can develop pyelonephritis - fevers to 105, severe back pain, nausea and about 4 days in the hospital with IV antibiotics. Go get treated...
