In America, what is the average height for a woman?

I'm 5' 8" and I feel slightly short. I want to be 5' 10" but that's not going to happen. So I was just wondering if I was taller or shorter than the average.In America, what is the average height for a woman?

Guess what you are way up there compared to me...lol I'm just 5 feet one and one half inch or 5' 1 1/2 "....that extra 1/2 means a lot to me.....We inherit our looks, body shapes and sizes and so much more from our families on both sides. So we can't do anything to change those genes in our body makeup. As long as we are healthy that is the main thing.
